XD SIDE TWIST BRACKET

The XD SIDE TWIST BRACKET is a universal solution designed to significantly reduce headroom above a roof rack fitted with an awning by 100mm once the awning is removed and the bracket is stowed. This universal bracket must be used with the RacksBrax quick release XD Hitch, which allows for quick and easy removal of the awning. Simply remove the awning in seconds with the XD Hitch, and to stow the bracket, unscrew the eyebolt, twist it 90 degrees from the vertical to the horizontal, reducing headroom to just 50mm, then screw in the eyebolt. No tools required—it’s that simple!

Other Important Notes:

The LONG FOOT version is ideal for most universal platform-style roof racks with longitudinal slat configurations (without a perimeter lip).
For platform-style racks with a perimeter lip, bracket packers are required (not included).
For universal roof rack bars or platform-style racks with transverse slats, use the SHORT FOOT version.
Both SHORT FOOT and LONG FOOT versions are available in double and triple configurations.

HOW MANY BRACKETS FOR MY ACCESSORY?

Racksbrax XD Side Twist Brackets, both Short Foot and Long Foot, are sold in double
packs or triple packs.

The number of XD Side Twist Brackets must equal the number of XD Hitches recommended in the XD Hitch instructions.

HEADROOM

XD Side Twist brackets occupy 146mm of headroom above the top of the roof rack in the
deployed position reducing to 50mm with the bracket rotated into the stowed position
once the awning is removed.

DOOR CLEARANCE

XD Side Twist brackets occupy 42mm of clearance above the top of the roof rack in the deployed position and 82 mm with the bracket rotated into the stowed position once the awning is removed.

Delivery & returns

Shipping times

Shipping times are a guideline only and subject to change. You may experience slightly longer delivery times during peak period e.g. sales and promotions periods, wild weather or other courier delivery issues which are unforeseen or unavoidable events beyond RacksBrax’ reasonable control. If you place your order over a weekend or public holiday it will be processed and sent out the next business day (Monday to Thursday).

Shipping prices

Shipping prices are as follows:

Changes to orders

International shipping

International shipping is not available at this time; orders placed on this website can only be delivered in Australia. Contact one of our international distributors to see what is available in country.

Same day dispatch

All orders received by 2.00pm on a Monday to Friday will be packed and shipped that day. Orders after 2.00pm will be shipped the next business day. Once your order has been packed and shipped you will receive a confirmation email from RacksBrax which will include your Australia Post eParcel (or StarTrack) consignment number so that you are able to track your order.

Authority to Leave (ATL)

All couriers are defaulted to Authority to Leave (ATL).

Lost or damaged goods

If your order is lost or damaged in transit please contact sales@racksbrax.com during business hours. If you have not received your order within the above recommended delivery time frames, please contact us so that we can assist you.

Returns

Engineered Touring Solutions Pty Ltd (RacksBrax) may, at their sole discretion, provide a refund on the return of the Products within 30 days where the Product packaging is unopened and remains in a saleable condition. You acknowledge and agree that you are liable for any postage and shipping costs associated with any refund pursuant to this clause. Where refunds are granted these will be credited to the credit card used for purchase or to your PayPal account.
